Almost three quarters of Russians have turned to realtors for help when buying second homes over the past 3 years, Avito Real Estate calculated.

Avito Real Estate analysts conducted a study, according to the results of which, over the past three years, 74% of home buyers in the secondary market have used the services of agents. When selling, 45% attracted realtors.

“Against the background of high mortgage rates, it has become more difficult to sell a secondary property — competition for the buyer’s attention has increased, the average sale period of the object has increased,” comments Sergey Eremkin, managing director of the secondary and suburban real estate department of Avito Real Estate. “In an unstable market, the expertise of agents is becoming more and more in demand among owners.

Real estate agencies that know the specifics of local markets and are focused on complex transactions, including counter sales and purchases, are particularly popular. Moreover, according to Avito Real Estate, 53% of owners are going to buy new housing immediately after the sale transaction. In accordance with the trend, Avito Real Estate is testing the “Comfortable Deal” service, which has already been joined by 133 agencies from all over Russia. According to the current testing results of the service, it takes an average of up to six months to sell objects with the help of realtors, depending on the level of complexity.
