In early April 2024, the number of apartments available in St. Petersburg for daily rent increased by 37%, and suburban properties — by 30% compared to the same period last year. Such data were reported by Avito Real Estate analysts.
In total, more than 19 thousand apartments and about 600 suburban facilities are currently represented on the platform, according to the company. The average cost of apartments in the region is almost 25 thousand rubles, in the suburban segment — 9500 rubles per day.
“We see how domestic tourism is developing in the country,” comments Artem Kromochkin, Head of Avito Travel. — Today, every day more than 1 million people are looking for daily housing on Avito. About 250 thousand properties for short-term stays can be booked on the platform.”
In connection with the expansion of demand, Avito has identified a new direction of Avito Travel, which, according to the creators, should become a domestic analogue of the platforms that left Russia in 2022 Booking.com and Airbnb. In addition to apartments and country houses, starting in the autumn of 2024, it will be possible to book hotel rooms here.
