A Russian travel blogger took a ride on the Moscow — Vladivostok train, had lunch in a restaurant car and revealed the prices of food. He shared his story on a personal blog called TravelManiac on the Zen platform.

The author of the publication admitted that he used to think that eating in a restaurant car was expensive, but his latest experience proved the opposite. “And somehow this well-established stereotype immediately broke down: of course, it’s not a factory canteen at prices, but they definitely won’t leave prices for passenger dishes without pants,” the Russian noted, adding that the numbers on the menu were about like in a cafe in any major city.

The blogger noted that he took a hodgepodge for 300 rubles, fried potatoes for 150 rubles and a cup of tea for 70 rubles. He liked the taste of the dishes.

“The second course is fried potatoes. Moreover, it is not frozen from bags, but cleaned and cut obviously by hand, fried in a frying pan, not in a deep fryer. Yes, and not on ordinary vegetable oil, but on fragrant. Just like my grandmother fried in the village when she was a child,” the traveler was surprised.

Previously, a travel blogger from the Netherlands, who lives in Russia, took a ride on the Ruskeala Express train, decorated in a retro style. The foreigner admitted that it was the most beautiful train he had ever ridden.
