The plane that took off after a long pause to Cuba from Moscow was called the Anadyr. The “mystical” detail was noticed by TV presenter Sergey Brilev, who also posted a picture of the aircraft from the network on the Telegram channel.
The journalist admitted that such a name could be a joke on the part of the management of Rossiya Airlines. It could also have been an accident, Brilev noted.
“But the fact is that this is exactly what the Soviet operation of 1962 was called, Anadyr, to transfer “products” with sophisticated warheads to Cuba. Mysticism,” he wrote.
On July 1, for the first time since 2022, a passenger liner took off from Moscow to Cuba. This flight resumed regular flights between the two countries, the official representative of Rossiya Airlines said.
Earlier it was also reported that the Emirates airline plane, delayed due to engine smoke, landed in Dubai.
