Summer discounts that attract tourists to Egypt are introduced for a reason. The heat in Hurghada and Sharm el-Sheikh is expected to be hellish: next weekend it will not be below +40. It is better not to go on excursions to Cairo or to the Valley of the Pharaohs at all – people fall into the sun.
According to a statement from the Meteorological Department, quoted by the Egyptian media, hot and sometimes unusually humid weather persists throughout the country. Strong winds and “hot humid nights” are also promised throughout the territory. And in some places, but not in resorts, even rain is possible.
Tourists are not recommended to gather for excursions. Even in the Greater Cairo area — i.e. at the Pyramids, the temperature will stay at least +40. In the Valley of the Pharaohs, there will be a “hell furnace” at all: during the day, the air warms up to 45 degrees and above. A rare tourist can endure such a temperature, often, according to the guides, “people fall”, barely have time to get off the cool bus.
As for the resorts, Hurghada promises stable +40 all week. It will feel slightly better at night — up to +30-32. And even the sea is warmed up above +30. In Sharma, according to the forecast, it will “soar” to 42 over the weekend — the temperature at which it is difficult for a person accustomed to the heat to move. However, it will “feel better” later – only up to +39.
Tourists are also warned about the off-scale level of solar activity. You can only sunbathe in the early morning or evening — and during the period of the greatest heat in the sun, it is better not to meddle in the interests of your own health.
