Not so long ago, the media reported that Turkish hoteliers are preparing to provide discounts for the summer season. Hotels have already reduced the cost by 20%. However, Aleksan Mkrtchyan, Vice President of the Alliance of Travel Agencies of Russia, was greatly surprised by the replicated data.
The interlocutor called the reduction in the cost of holidays in Turkey a fake. According to him, Russians will see the same prices as last year, and maybe even higher.
“This is one hundred percent fake. In fact, what the Turkish hoteliers did was they lowered prices in quotation marks from those high prices that they announced at the end of 2022 to 2023,” Mkrtchyan explained on Komsomolskaya Pravda Radio.
The Vice president of the Alliance of travel Agents emphasizes that the tourist flow from Russia’s exports to Turkey as a whole have declined in recent years. The expert believes that the situation will not improve this year.
Earlier it was reported that Russians are massively complaining about the problems they have when traveling abroad.
