The news that Aeroflot will resume regular flights from Moscow to Goa on October 1 is positive for Russians who want to have a cheap vacation on the Indian Ocean.
A week-long vacation in Goa will cost Russians 75-80 thousand rubles per person, while the resort is developing, trying to attract wealthier tourists, said Dmitry Arutyunov, CEO of Art Tour.
“The most season on Goa is just from autumn to spring, it is usually not very hot there at this time. This is a very favorite resort of our citizens, as it is very inexpensive, everyone likes the ocean, you can drive around there, beautiful landscapes. Previously, this resort had a reputation for being cheap, now high-quality hotels are being built in different parts of the country, attracting not only the youth public, but also more affluent vacationers. Of course, the resumption of flights is very welcome, it was expected. Goa is a very popular destination in winter, tours are not very expensive, our relations with India are wonderful,” he told NSN.
The expert said that a round-trip flight to Goa will cost around 50-60 thousand rubles.
“If you want to live not very expensive, you can live there for $20 per day. You can spend a week for 75-80 thousand rubles per person, including flights. Then everything depends on your demands. Unlike Dubai and Maldives, the budget here is much smaller. If you plan a trip for a long period, the cost of tickets will “sink” into the voucher, it will be more profitable for tourists to rest there longer than in other directions,” he said.
As previously reported by the Free Press, according to Sergey Romashkin, ATOR Vice President for domestic tourism, the average cost of a summer tour in Sochi reaches 105 thousand rubles, while Anapa may be even more expensive — in the region of 109 thousand.
