Sun: Maldives announced a ban on entry into the country using Israeli passports

The Maldives authorities have decided to ban tourists with Israeli passports from visiting the country due to Israel’s special operation in the Gaza Strip. This is reported by the British newspaper Sun.

“The Cabinet of Ministers decided today to amend the legislation necessary to ban entry to the Maldives on Israeli passports as soon as possible,” said Maldives Interior Minister Ali Ihusan.

According to him, to implement the relevant decision, the Cabinet of Ministers has created a special committee consisting of the Interior Minister, the Prosecutor General and the Ministers of Foreign Affairs, economy and Tourism.

Ihusan also added that the government has decided to appoint a special envoy of the president, who will explore areas in which the Maldives can support Palestine. In addition, the country intends to raise funds and send them to the United Nations Relief and Works Agency for Palestine Refugees in the Near East (UNRWA), take people to the streets to rally in support of Palestine and discuss steps with Muslim states to resolve the Palestinian-Israeli conflict.

Earlier, the International Court of Justice ordered Israel to take measures to ensure access to To Gaza missions to investigate allegations of genocide.
