Bangkok is a shopping paradise. The number of shopping malls, their size and the range of products presented is amazing. I have compiled a list of the best shopping malls in Bangkok that are conveniently located near the subway or easily accessible. In all these shopping malls, you can make a vat refund for tourists (what is a vat refund?)

List of the best shopping malls in Bangkok in 2024
#1. IconSiam is Bangkok’s best shopping mall
IconSiam Mall is the largest shopping mall in Bangkok and the second largest in Thailand. It has more than 1,000 stores, an Apple Store, an auditorium with three thousand seats and even a museum! Only the parking of this shopping center is available for 5,000 cars.

#2. CentralWorld is a large shopping mall with an Apple Store
Central World Shopping Mall is one of the largest in Bangkok. Next to it is a large Apple Store, and across the street is another shopping center, but simpler. CentralWorld contains different brands — from famous and expensive ones to Thai ones of good quality and low prices. There are household goods, cosmetics, perfumes and appliances. There are many different restaurants and food court. There is an open-air food court with street food in front of the shopping center.

Interesting exhibitions are regularly held on the top floor of the shopping mall.
I advise you to go to the MK restaurant, which specializes in sukiyaki or hot pot dishes. In it, the order is delivered by a robot. Watch the video review of the restaurant:
How to get:
BTS Chit Lom Metro Station. Further along the above-ground gallery you will reach the entrance to the shopping mall.
#3. Siam Paragon (Siam Paragon) — a shopping center with an aquarium
Siam Paragon is one of the most impressive shopping malls in Bangkok. He is known for premium brands. The variety of shops and the choice of luxury brands are impressive. Here you can find everything from designer clothes to electronics, jewelry and household goods.
Another thing that Siam Paragon Mall is famous for is the SeaLife Bangkok Aquarium, the largest in Southeast Asia. The aquarium occupies two floors of the shopping center. In terms of water volume, the aquariums of the aquarium accommodate three Olympic swimming pools! I strongly advise you to go to the aquarium. You can see what it looks like in this video review:

#4. MBK Shopping Mall
This shopping center contains appliances, mobile phones, inexpensive souvenirs, things and gold. Here you can buy a cheap bu phone of any brand — Samsung or iPhone. It is customary to bargain at MBK shopping center.
- The 4th floor consists of mobile phones, tablets and a few computers + photographic equipment. If you want to buy a new or used phone, then here is the best choice.
- On the 5th floor there is the Canon Shop, the official Canon photography equipment store in Bangkok.
Separately, it is worth noting the photo equipment store on the ground floor. The choice there is incredible, the shelves with lenses do not end. My eyes are running away. There are rare models of cameras and lenses. You can even buy film classics!
How to get:
BTS National Stadium metro station.
#5 and 6. Emporium Shopping Center (Emporium) and EmQuartier
These two shopping malls are located opposite each other at the BTS Phrom Pong Subway station.
- The Emporium contains famous expensive brands such as Louis Vuitton, Tiffany, Bvlgari, Tom Ford, etc. There is also the usual folk Zara 😀
- Uniqlo, Sephora, Longchamp, Chanel, H&M are represented in the Emquarter.
EmQuartier Shopping Center is considered the greenest shopping mall in Bangkok. There’s even a waterfall here! There is also a green outdoor terrace overlooking Bangkok. I highly recommend it.
⭐ Pay attention to the foodcourt in EmQuarter. It’s delicious, the prices are pleasant and there are at least two places that have been marked in the Michelin guide. I even made a video about one of these places. This is a noodle that has been mentioned in the Michelin guide for 4 years in a row:
By the way, here is a list of dishes that you definitely need to try in Thailand.

#7. Terminal 21 Asok — airport-style shopping mall
Terminianl 21 shopping center is stylized as an airport. The floor zones are divided by cities and countries. In this shopping mall you can find local clothing brands, hand-made, souvenirs. There is a department with appliances and gadgets. It was here that I found and bought myself a Withings watch, which you can’t find during the day with fire.
How to get:
BTS Asok or MRT Sukhumvit metro station.
#8. Fortune Town — a shopping mall with appliances
Previously, the main shopping center for electronics in Bangkok was Pantip Plaza. Such a local hunchback. Now this shopping center is practically dead. An alternative to the Fortune Town shopping mall. It’s full of computer equipment, photographic equipment, and mobile phones. Boo and new. Not all stores make Vat refunds, so you can confidently bargain here.
Important! If you buy equipment by hand, always specify whether it is the original or not. If the seller says “same same original” or “copy”, it means that it is a fake under the original. Original is an original model, not a fake or a copy. Second hand is a used device. New – the device is new, but not the fact that the original.
Fortune Town has an excellent food court, and on the ground floor there is an inexpensive Thai massage, hairdressers and beauty salons. In March 2023, Toys Land, a store with an impressive selection of collectible figures and superhero toys, opened in the shopping center.
How to get:

#9. Siam Center
A large shopping complex next to the Siam Paragon shopping center. Siam Center offers local and international fashion brands: from famous brands to designer boutiques. Stylish accessories, unique items and shoes.

#10. Siam Square One
An open-air shopping complex with shops of international fashion brands, beauty salons, restaurants and food courts. There are boutiques of Thai manufacturers with low prices. Nearby is another large shopping center Siam Square, popular with young people and students. Free concerts by local artists are often held here.
You can come here just for a walk and eat at one of the restaurants.
How to get:
BTS Siam Metro Station
I did not include all the shopping malls in Bangkok in the list, but chose the best ones so that the assortment was not much repeated.
