The number of cases in which border guards refuse to allow Russian citizens to travel abroad and withdraw their passports due to data errors is increasing.
This was announced by Artur Muradyan, Vice President of the Association of Tour Operators of Russia (ATOR), the website of the Moskovsky Komsomolets newspaper reports.
According to him, at first there was a wave of errors, where the gender was mixed up in the documents. Then passports with spelling errors began to be rejected. Then the problems with the names with the letter “e” began.
“This problem has already acquired an avalanche—like character — such refusals to travel abroad with the withdrawal of passports can become massive,” Muradyan summed up.
As previously reported by the Free Press, according to Sergey Romashkin, ATOR Vice President for Domestic Tourism, General Director of the Dolphin tour operator, the average cost of a summer tour in Sochi reaches 105 thousand rubles, while Anapa may be even more expensive — in the region of 109 thousand.
