The Russian Embassy in Beirut called on Russians to refuse to visit Lebanon because of massive rocket attacks from Israel. The danger was warned by the Russian ambassador to the Middle East country, Alexander Rudakov, on the air of the Rossiya 24 channel.
According to the diplomat, it is not a tourist time to travel to Lebanon at all. He also noted that people who feel in danger should leave the country on commercial flights while the airport in Beirut is operating almost normally.
“We strongly recommend that our compatriots follow the instructions of the local authorities to ensure their own security measures,” Rudakov added.
The Ambassador noted that now the risk of Israel starting a war with Lebanon is extremely high. He made such a statement after a series of rocket attacks by the Israel Defense Forces on targets of the Shiite Hezbollah movement in Lebanon.
