The Ministry of Economic Development has developed a draft law, within the framework of which it proposed to introduce a non-refundable tariff in hotels on a par with a refundable one. The relevant document was published on the federal portal of draft regulatory legal acts.
The initiative notes that a contract for the provision of accommodation facilities can be concluded based on the customer’s choice. Russians will be able to make a non—refundable reservation – “a type of reservation that provides for the retention by the contractor of the fee paid to him (in full or in part) in case of cancellation of the reservation or non-occupancy of the consumer in the accommodation facility.”
Earlier, Russian President Vladimir Putin instructed to allow people to check into hotels with a driver’s license. Check-in to hotels under the new document will be available from June 1, 2025.
