Starting from August 1, 2024, Russians will need to obtain an electronic Travel Authorization (ETA) to travel to Israel. This was reported by the press service of the Ministry of Tourism of the Jewish state.
As specified in the department, ETA is not a visa. They noted that the agreement on visa-free regime between the two countries continues to operate.
However, the Ministry of Tourism stated that the changes are aimed at improving the process of passing border control and concern tourists from countries with which the visa-free regime operates.
Earlier it was reported that the Norwegian authorities imposed additional restrictions on entry into the country for Russian citizens arriving for tourist purposes.
