On average, daily rent for Russians increased by 14% in July compared to June. The average rate in Russia at the moment is 4,800 rubles per day. This was told by analysts of the Russian online accommodation booking service
The most popular travel destinations for Russians in July were St. Petersburg, Sochi and Moscow. Anapa, Gelendzhik, Zelenogradsk, Kaliningrad, Kazan, Nizhny Novgorod and Vladivostok also entered the top 10.
“July is the most active month for Russians to travel. High demand provokes an increase in rental prices,” says Yuri Kuznetsov, founder, owner and CEO of the Russian online housing booking service
The largest increase in rates is observed in Vladivostok – 32%, Zelenogradsk – 24% and Anapa – 21%. In Sochi, the average price increased by an average of 18%, in Gelendzhik – by 17%, in Kaliningrad – by 8%, in Kazan – by 6%. In Moscow and Nizhny Novgorod, the increase was only 2% in each of the cities, and in St. Petersburg prices fell by 1%. “There is a very large supply and high competition in the capitals. They are the ones who prevent prices from going up,” explains Yuri Kuznetsov.
The most expensive rental is in Zelenogradsk – 7,100 rubles per day. In Vladivostok, the average price is 6,000 rubles, in Sochi – 5,900 rubles, Gelendzhik – 5,800 rubles, St. Petersburg – 5,100 rubles, Moscow – 4,900 rubles, Kazan – 4,800 rubles, Nizhny Novgorod – 4,700 rubles, Anapa – 4,200 rubles, Kaliningrad – 3,800 rubles.
