Portugal may become the first European country to offer a residence permit for bitcoins

Portugal may launch a new option of the Golden Visa program through investments in cryptocurrency (bitcoin). This was stated by Alessandro Palombo, co-founder and CEO of the Portuguese Unbound Fund.

According to him, if you store 500 thousand euros worth of bitcoin in the Unbound Fund, you will be able to obtain a residence permit. The issue is currently being discussed with other participants in order to improve the fund’s proposals.
