Phuket authorities want to restrict entry for tourists with less than 900 thousand rubles in their account.

Thus, vacationers guarantee themselves comfort during a long stay at the resort. It will also reduce the congestion of the famous island and redirect tourist flows to less popular regions – Krabi, Ranong and Phang Nga.

Tourists who do not have the required amount on their account want to be denied entry to Phuket Island. The head of the island sent a corresponding request to the government authorities with an appeal to overestimate the conditions of stay for foreign travelers. It is recommended to set a minimum threshold of 300 thousand baht, which corresponds to 900 thousand rubles. The established amount will be insurance that in case of voluntary or involuntary delay on the island, a person will not need funds.

The governor of the island believes that the visa-free policy helps to increase the tourist flow, but the quality of vacationers, at the same time, decreases. In such an environment, violations of the law and disregard for local traditions are frequent, which causes irritation among local residents and reduces the rating of the resort. This action will redistribute the tourist flow to less popular places.
