On the Internet, Russians began to complain en masse about problems with traveling abroad

Complaints began to appear online from Russians who allegedly could not travel abroad because of blurred signatures in passports. The Ministry of Internal Affairs of the Russian Federation stressed that such defects in the document cannot be the reason for refusal to travel abroad.

An employee of the Ministry of Internal Affairs told the LIFE portal that in the case of a new sample document, the digital signature of a citizen is read. If the passport is ordinary, the person’s identity is checked according to other data.

“If you have a biometric passport, the signature is digital, it is read from cameras at the border; if the passport is ordinary, then the full name, department and date of issue are used to identify the person,” the department explained, Komsomolskaya Pravda Radio writes.

Earlier it was reported that a Muscovite who planned a trip to Mexico, along with his wife, lost half a million rubles due to the cancellation of a Turkish Airlines flight to Istanbul.
