Норвегия ввела запрет на въезд в страну российских туристов

The Norwegian authorities have introduced additional restrictions on entry into the country for Russian citizens arriving for tourist purposes.

The new rules come into force on May 29, RIA Novosti reports, citing a release from the Norwegian government.

According to this document, Russian citizens who arrive in Norway for tourist or other purposes of “non-primary importance” will be denied entry.

At the same time, Norway can make exceptions for Russians visiting relatives, as well as citizens arriving in the country for work or study.

The government’s press release notes that the restriction applies both to those who have visas issued by Norway before the spring of 2022, and to visas issued by other countries of the Schengen area.

It is emphasized that this decision is related to Norway’s desire to support its allies and partners who impose restrictions due to the Russian special military operation (SVO) in Ukraine.

Recall that Norway restricted the entry of Russians into its country in the spring of 2022, practically ceasing to issue tourist visas.

As previously reported by the Free Press, Norway has banned a Nordwind airline plane with a dying Russian on board from making an emergency landing on the territory of its country.
