The legendary boxer lived in a Renaissance-style house from 1979 to 1984
A house in the prestigious Los Angeles area of Hancock Park, formerly owned by world boxing champion Muhammad Ali, is up for auction. The initial price is $13.5 million, the auction will close on May 15 this year, according to Mansion Global.
The mansion is more than 100 years old, it was designed by the famous American architect John Cornaby Austin, who also built the Los Angeles City Hall and the Griffith Observatory.

Muhammad Ali bought this house in 1979 and lived here until 1984. The note clarifies that many celebrities visited him, including actors Clint Eastwood and Sylvester Stallone, as well as singer Michael Jackson.

The area of the mansion is 975.48 sq. m., it has seven bedrooms, a spacious foyer, a salon, a winter garden, a dining room and a chef’s kitchen. The facade of the house is made in European style, inside the building there are hand-carved cornices and Italian marble floors.

An ancient staircase leads to the second floor of the mansion, where, in addition to the bedrooms, there are two classrooms, a large bar and a dance hall.
On the adjacent territory there is a separate guest house with an area of 92.9 square meters, a swimming pool, a garden and paths with gazebos.

In early April 2024, actor Danny Devito’s former home in Los Angeles was put up for sale for $19.8 million. The three-storey mansion has six bedrooms, a library, a wine cellar and a tasting room.
