Ozer Tuncay is responsible — a popular Turkish lawyer and founder of the Tuncay&Barcin law firm.
Foreigners are increasingly faced with the refusal of migration services to issue a residence permit or its extension due to the large influx of people and other nuances. There is no official ban on the registration of icamet, but the policy of the departments has become stricter.
For what reasons can they refuse?
What should you do if you are rejected?
If you are not prohibited from returning to the country, and visa-free days allow you to return to Turkey, then you have the right to immediately enter back and apply for a residence permit again.
Important: you can apply for a residence permit on the same basis as the refusal was received only after 6 months. Therefore, you will have to take care of choosing another foundation.
You can challenge the decision of the migration service in court: submit an application within 60 days, but consideration of the case does not give you the right to legally stay in Turkey — do not violate the visa regime.
Litigation allows you to be on the territory of the Turkish Republic only in the case of deportation.
During the trial, the lawyer will file a petition asking to suspend the decision of the service that refused the residence permit. If the judge grants the request, the refusal becomes invalid and you can stay in the country while the review lasts.
