Hotels have started offering cryotherapy to tourists: the main thing is not to make others deaf

Отели начали предлагать туристам крикотерапию: главное, чтобы не оглохли окружающие

Hotels have started offering cryotherapy to tourists — the original “therapeutic procedure” was offered to tourists by the Armathwaite Hall Spa Hotel in the Lake District in the north-west of Great Britain. The hotel, located on Bassenthwaite Lake, has set aside part of its vast forest area away from other tourists for this practice.

The aim of the practice is to “ease emotional stress, reduce anxiety and foster a deep sense of emotional relief and well-being,” according to the British press. As Lorela Movileano, manager of the Armathwaite Hall Hotel & Spa, said: “The demands of modern life can be detrimental to both our physical and mental well-being. Although our spa offers rejuvenating and relaxing treatments to relieve stress, there are times when a more unconventional approach is required. On the territory of our vast 400-acre private forest, we have created a shelter where our guests can be themselves without apologies and release pent-up emotions,” she said.

Those wishing to participate in the “age-old non-traditional practice” that “allows our guests to free themselves from emotional and physical stress, fully immersed in the path to relaxation and self-knowledge” are invited to take a few simple actions. They should go out to the park, walk to the therapy site, “take a deep breath… look at the sky… and scream.”

In addition to cryotherapy, the hotel offers other wellness packages, such as swimming in the forest, which involves meditation and communion with nature, and moonlight bathing, where tourists can relax under the stars. Alpaca walks, archery and a variety of rafting are also on the program. However, as they add in the media, the hotel’s bills will also make you “experience catharsis.”
