What opportunities does a digital nomad’s residence permit provide?
Together with the applicant, the spouse and children under 18 years of age can obtain a residence permit;
A digital nomad is exempt from paying taxes in Montenegro on income from remote work;
A Boravak (residence permit) based on online work is issued for a period of 2 years with the right to extend for another 2 years;
After 4 years of residence in the country, you can get a new residence permit only after 6 months. Remoters cannot obtain citizenship.
To be employed in a foreign company (it is allowed to work for the company, its own legal entity or for the customer. The main thing is that they are registered outside Montenegro);
Stable monthly income equivalent to three minimum salaries of the country – 1350 €;
Rented or own housing;
Medical and pension insurance from the place of work.
