The visa centers of some Schengen countries have reported a change in the application forms that need to be filled out to obtain a visa, according to the industry publication Vestnik ATOR. The reasons why the questionnaires were amended are not disclosed. There is a high probability that this process will continue, and other countries can also update the forms, so tourists should download applications only from the official resources of visa centers immediately before submitting documents.
So, since June 28, Sweden accepts only new–style questionnaires, from July 1 – Hungary, from July 4 – Bulgaria, from July 8 – Italy. At the same time, the application form is not unified: each country has its own form, although European officials have been talking about the fact that the form should be unified for a long time. For example, Bulgaria has significantly increased the questionnaire: previously it was necessary to fill out 3 pages, and now it is 5. Italy added only one item – “The surname and first name of the person filling out the questionnaire, if different from the applicant”, and also changed the design of the application.
