Thailand has launched a night train between the cities of this country and Laos – Bangkok and Vientiane, The Laotian Times reports, citing the Thai state railway department.
This route may be of interest to tourists, as it will allow them to quickly and conveniently get to Laos and combine two countries in one trip. The train passes through a local landmark – the Thai-Lao Friendship Bridge. However, there is an alternative option for a trip from Thailand to Laos, but it is less convenient: trains also run from Bangkok to the border town of Nong Khai, and from there to Vientiane in just 20-30 minutes you can get by bus or taxi.
In the new train, passengers are offered carriages of 3 classes: from the cheapest sitting to a comfortable sleeping one. Trains from Bangkok to Vientiane cost from 281 Thai baht (about 672 rubles) to 874 Thai baht (about 2,100 rubles).
Recall that Russian citizens do not need visas to visit Thailand and Laos if they are traveling for tourist purposes.
