According to RIA Novosti, it is expected that the authorities will either change the terms of the program or curtail it.
“Demand for government-backed mortgages is growing at a record pace in May. If a few days ago the number of applications to banks for mortgages with state support was 25% more than in the same period of April this year, now the difference exceeds 38%. In comparison with May of last year, the number of applications has almost doubled,” said Regina Dydalina, executive director of the real estate company “Floors”.
