In Sochi, tourists stole a bottle of rum from a bar for 100,000 rubles

In Krasnaya Polyana in Sochi two tourists stole a bottle of rum worth over 100,000 rubles from a bar. The police opened a criminal case on the theft of an expensive alcoholic beverage.

According to the Department of Internal Affairs of the resort city, the theft was committed by two nonresident citizens – a resident of Novorossiysk and a resident of Ufa. The first one knew the location of the storage of the spare key to the front door and shared this information with his friend, offering to commit theft. The Ufa man, hiding his face with a mask, made his way into an institution closed for the night and took away a wooden box with a drink. They planned to sell a bottle of expensive rum.

The thieves were quickly discovered and detained, a criminal case was opened under Part 2 of Article 158 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation, they face a prison term of up to five years.
