At Antalya Airport (Turkey), there are delays in departures of international flights due to a strike by airline employees. In Russia, the passengers of Turkish Airlines flight TK 3995 have been waiting for departure for more than a day.
“There is a crisis in the Antalya tourism industry, which is associated with the strike of air traffic controllers at the airport. Employees are demanding higher salaries and better working conditions, but for now their work has seriously slowed down. The consequences of the crisis are delays and cancellations of flights at Antalya airport, dissatisfaction of vacationers and significant financial losses,” the Turkish media write.
Among the international flights affected by cancellations and delays, there are also flights to Russia. For example, Russian tourists wait more than a day for the departure of a Turkish Airlines flight to Antalya from Moscow’s Vnukovo airport. The plane was supposed to take off from Moscow on June 30 at 13:40, now the expected departure time is 19:00 on July 1. The delay will be almost 30 hours. The return flight was also more than a day late and landed in Moscow on the morning of July 1.
In addition, two more Turkish Airlines flights today, TK 3995 and 3955, as well as departures from other carriers, are delayed by five hours. The AZUR Air plane took off from Moscow to Antalya six hours later. Departure from the airport has been postponed for five hours Sochi to the main Turkish resort of the Ural Airlines liner.
