How do I get to know the Emirate if your tourist has planned a transit stop in Dubai? What events of the upcoming season are definitely not worth missing? Which award-winning restaurants should a traveler visit during their vacation in Dubai? We are looking for answers to these and other questions. |

Why should I plan a transit stop in Dubai?
Stopover in Dubai is two trips in one: your tourists will be able to get even more impressions from their trip by getting acquainted with several cultural traditions at once. During a short transit stop in Dubai, you can see the main attractions, taste the national cuisine, go shopping or visit a museum — depending on what your tourist wants. Dubai International Airport itself is able to impress travelers with its scope, but we advise you to introduce them to the city, especially since you can conveniently and quickly get to the center by metro or taxi.
The first step is to get a free prepaid SIM card at Dubai International Airport. Its balance is 1 GB of free mobile traffic for 24 hours. This way the trip will become even more comfortable, and your tourists will stay in touch. It is also convenient to exchange currency at a favorable rate at the airport.
What should I do?
Let’s assume that your tourists’ transit stop will take 24 hours. Even in this short time, you can get acquainted with the main tourist locations and symbols of the city. It takes only 15 minutes to get from the airport to the world’s tallest building, the Burj Khalifa skyscraper. Tourists can climb to the two-level observation deck and admire the incredible views of the city, and then go to the largest shopping and entertainment center in the world — Dubai Mall. Here you can visit the shops of elite world brands and local designers, as well as buy souvenirs. Then tourists can go on an excursion to the Dubai Aquarium and Underwater Zoo, ride the Dubai Ice Rink, watch a movie at the Reel Cinemas and admire the dancing Dubai Fountain. You can have lunch at the Time Out Market on the territory of the neighboring Souk Al Bahar center — there are the best restaurants in the city.

If your tourists need somewhere to spend the night, look at the hotels in Downtown Dubai, Business Bay or Dubai Creek — most of them are located 15-20 minutes by taxi from the airport and close to the main city attractions.
Which transport should I choose?
Dubai has a well-developed transport infrastructure, so residents and tourists can comfortably move around the city. The emirate has an Uber taxi service and Yandex Go, which is familiar to tourists (it also has a local analogue — Careem). You can pay for the trip both in cash and by card. If your tourists have rights, you can rent a car through the Udrive carsharing app or at rental locations and move around the city on your own.
Public transport in Dubai is comfortable — the travel schedule is planned in such a way as to avoid excessive congestion, most bus stops are air-conditioned, and the RTA Wojhati app will help you plan a trip around the city. In addition to the usual ones, sightseeing buses run around the city — if you buy a ticket for them, you can get to an interesting location from anywhere on the route, and then continue the review on another bus. Please note: cash payments are not accepted in transport, so advise tourists to purchase a single Nol Card. You can top up her balance through the RTA Dubai app, as well as through vending machines at metro stations and bus stops.

The metro is one of the most inexpensive ways to get around the city. All stations have special sections for the elderly and people with disabilities. Nol Card holders can get access to the high-comfort carriages. Baggage allowance applies in the metro: tourists can take with them one suitcase (no more than 81 cm x 58 cm x 30 cm) and one piece of hand luggage (no more than 55 cm x 38 cm x 20 cm).
