Travel planning service OneTwoTrip analyzed early hotel and airline bookings for the New Year holidays and found out that many more Russians began to plan holiday weekends in advance — the number of orders doubled. In addition, twice as many tourists will travel abroad this year — the share of foreign bookings is 51%.
Many travelers decided to celebrate the New Year in Asia. So, in comparison with last year’s holidays, the demand for trips to Shanghai increased the most, namely 10 times. Now you can buy a one-way ticket for about 35,000 rubles, and book a room in a three-star hotel for 3,000 rubles*.
The popularity of Seoul, Tokyo and Singapore has increased 8 times. A flight to the capital of South Korea will cost 39,000 rubles, to the capital of Japan — 45,000 rubles, and to the city-state — 52,000 rubles. A night in hotels in Seoul costs about 4,500 rubles, and in Tokyo and Singapore — about 8,000 rubles.
Dubai has become 7 times more in demand (the average ticket price is 30,000 rubles, a room can be booked for 7,000 rubles) and 6 times more Russians will spend New Year’s holidays in Hong Kong (flight — 40,000 rubles, overnight at the hotel — 8,000 rubles).
Many travelers will celebrate the New Year by the ocean: the demand for trips to Sri Lanka has increased 5 times (41,000 rubles for a ticket to Colombo, 2,000 rubles per night in a hotel) and 3 times to the Maldives (55,000 rubles for a flight to Male, 6,000 rubles for a hotel room).
In addition, interest in Ho Chi Minh City and Barcelona has increased by 2 times. Tickets from Russia to both directions cost about 43,000 rubles, a night in a Vietnamese city will cost about 2,000 rubles, and in Spanish — 7,000 rubles.
