There are publications in the media about the high incomes of couriers. According to the data hh.ru , they are ready to pay deliverers an average of 110 thousand rubles per month, and the maximum rate in Moscow today is 202 thousand rubles, such money is offered by Cooper (the former name is Sbermarket. – Ed.).
Even Dmitry Medvedev, Deputy Chairman of the Security Council of the Russian Federation, drew attention to the topic of “skewed wages for engineers and couriers” a month ago. He called for considering measures to prevent the flow of people into this sector from other sectors of the economy.
We decided to “tempt” subscribers of the tg channel for tourism professionals “Roof of the B2B Travel Agency” with a survey – “Are you ready to leave the travel agency and work as a courier?” During the day on August 9, almost 300 representatives of travel companies took part in it.
The most popular option was “No, I am satisfied with the income in the travel agency”, 49% chose it, and this is more than half, since 82% of the survey participants gave meaningful answers, not 100%. In the comments, respondents doubt that working as a deliveryman is easy money: “Yeah, ride in the cold and in the heat + 40 with a parcel at the ready, rip off your back and live “happily””, “No, I won’t go as a courier, I won’t have enough health”, “It’s good where we are not. Everyone should be in their place.” They also doubt that the promised income is not an advertising trick, because the salary is piecework: “The key thing in ads is an excuse “to “before the amount of earnings”, “I can’t even imagine how many deliveries per month you need to make to get 200 thousand rubles.” Some people note: if we leave tourism for any reason, then choose such an area so as not to lose our qualifications: “Are we really not able to work with anyone other than a courier? Many of us have higher education and professional skills.” And one of the respondents, apparently not an employee, wrote: “So far, the income in tourism is many times more than the 100-200 thousand offered to the deliverers.” In recent years, travel agents have been selling fewer tours than before, and the commission from tour operators has also decreased, however, due to the significantly higher cost of tour packages than before, many companies receive good incomes.
15% of the survey participants expressed their willingness to become couriers, provided that the earnings will amount to 100-200 thousand rubles. 9% are not averse to working in this way. And 5% will think about the profession of a deliveryman if their salary in tourism decreases.
