Tourists are promised more reliable confirmation of hotels in Thailand in winter

Major tour operators are increasing their quotas in Thai hotels for the upcoming winter season. 

The Biblio-Globe told the portal TourDom.ru that their volume of guarantees for November will increase by 29% compared to the same month last year, for December – by 27%, for January – by 15%, for February – by 10%, for March – by 3%, and on average for the winter season – by 16%. Of the total number of guaranteed quotas, 3* hotels account for 43%, almost the same, 42%, for 4* hotels, 5* complexes – 14%, and 2* accommodation facilities – only 1%.

Anex did not provide specific figures, but confirmed that the number of quotas for the company in the winter season – 2024/2025 will be higher, both in Pattaya and Phuket – as an example, the new Wanda Vista Resort Phuket Island Laya 5* hotel was cited on the Thai resort island, the rooms in which the tour operator has on instant confirmation. In addition, Anex will have more exclusive hotels in Thailand: Phuket Emerald Beach Resort and Spa 5*, Khaolak Emerald Beach Resort & Spa 4*, Phuket Kata Resotel 4*, Kata Silver Sand 3*, Art Mansion 3* and others have been added to the list.  

Fun&Sun said that over 50 hotels have been contracted by the tour operator in Phuket and Pattaya, the total number of rooms with instant confirmation is twice as much as a year earlier. There will also be exclusives, in particular, The Old Phuket Karon Beach 4* hotel with Toucan Kids club.  

In the last winter season, travel agents sometimes had to wait several days after booking for a response from hotels about the availability of the accommodation requested by the tour operator. And not always with a positive result. The mood of market participants to increase room quotas with instant confirmation allows tourists to hope that such situations will happen less often in the coming winter. The Chinese market, which is the most widespread in Thailand, is a serious competitor to the Russian market. Tour operators have to conduct painstaking negotiation work with partners in order to get the necessary amount of guarantees for themselves in popular hotels, especially for high dates of the winter season.
