In Turkey, in addition to Cappadocia and Pamukkale, there is another place where tourists can fly balloons. Balloons in abundance now rise above the ancient temple complex of Gebekli Tepe in the province of Sanliurfa.
From the height, you can admire the ancient ruins and the wide expanses of the fertile Harran Valley.
The launch of balloon flights over Gebekli Tepe was planned before the coronavirus pandemic, but was postponed in connection with it. Then the flights were postponed due to the earthquakes on February 6, 2023. Now balloon tours have finally begun to be carried out, and the authorities expect that thanks to them the tourist flow to the region will grow.
