“Over 1 million passengers were registered by Ussuri customs officers in 7 months of 2024. Passenger traffic increased 2.5 times compared to the same period last year. More than 30 thousand passenger buses crossed the border,” Interfax quotes a statement from the Ussuri customs.
It is clarified that on average, 8.5 thousand tourists and 220 buses cross the Russian-Chinese border in both directions per day.
At the same time, the main passenger traffic falls on the Border and Kraskino automobile checkpoints. For example, on August 9, 6,735 Russian and Chinese citizens crossed the border through checkpoints.
