The State Duma proposes to amend the rules of travel abroad for debtors.
State Duma deputies have taken the initiative to increase the minimum amount for the travel ban.:
- for total debts: from 30,000 rubles to 90,000 rubles.
- in case of non-fulfillment of bailiffs’ demands: from 10,000 rubles to 30,000 rubles.
At the same time, according to ATOR, it is proposed to leave unchanged debts for alimony, compensation for injury to health and moral damage.
There were several reasons for the appearance of this initiative:
- Currently, even a few small parking fines or traffic regulations can make a person “not allowed to travel.”
- Many do not receive notifications due to a change of residence – and fall into the “debt trap” by accident.
- The limits have not changed since 2017, and inflation and rising fines have made the amounts of 10-30 thousand rubles too low.
