Currently, 1001 two-storey buildings run on the vast expanses of railways. Last year there were 76 fewer of them. Two-storey buildings are traditionally not loved by tourists. At the first opportunity, when there is an alternative, they prefer ordinary wagons to them. While the carrier calls modern toilets, air conditioners and individual chargers among the amenities of the new rolling stock, tourists often recall the limited space on the second floor due to inconvenient sloping roofs and lack of space for luggage.
However, the number of those who travel in such wagons continues to grow in proportion to the increase in their number. This summer season, 3.8 million people have already been transported on two-storey buildings, which is 9.2% more than the same period last year. Moscow – Adler is among the most popular destinations. No wonder – any wagons are packed there. Moscow – Voronezh and Moscow – Bryansk are also among the leaders.
In total, two-storey buildings run as part of 31 trains on 22 routes. In September, No. 63/64 Samara – St. Petersburg will also be recomposed.
