The Sverdlovsk Regional Court refused to reinstate the co-pilot of Ural Airlines, who considered his dismissal illegal. At the same time, the man repeatedly found himself in the field of view of his superiors because of his extraordinary behavior.
According to the case file, Alexey K. received a reprimand for violating labor discipline at the end of last summer, a second one at the beginning of autumn, then he was suspended from flights, and then completely fired. However, the pilot himself considered that he was left without work on illegal grounds, which means that the airline must pay compensation to the plaintiff for moral damage and lost salary.
But during the court proceedings it turned out that the employee of the carrier was reprimanded for a reason. The first one is for walking around the airfield in a reflective vest wrapped around his head. At the same time, Alexey explained that he was just protecting himself from the sun. But in the “Ural” they saw in his behavior a violation of the rules of wearing uniforms.
The reason for the second reprimand was not submitted flight reports during a business trip to Moscow. But the pilot’s latest antics led to the fact that they decided to fire him. So, on one of the flights, Alexey staged a real combo of safety violations. Right in flight, the pilot covered the cabin windows with cardboard so that the sun would not interfere with him, put his mobile phone on the visor, ignored his duties to monitor the condition of the aircraft and requested permission to clear the runway on an unsuitable, closed track.
Interestingly, the airline did not immediately put Alexei out on the street, but asked him to undergo a psychological examination. But the man refused and instead went to the Oktyabrsky district court, but they sided with the carrier. Then the former pilot appealed to the Regional Court, but his demands were not supported here either.
