The 21st International forum “Wings of the Future” has completed its work

On September 25, 2024, the 21st Wings of the Future Aviation Forum took place in Moscow, which traditionally aroused serious interest from the professional community and gathered a solid audience.

 

The central professional event of the year in the air transport industry provided the participants with the opportunity to exchange views on the state and prospects of the transportation market in the current new reality, to formulate collective positions on urgent tasks.

The forum participants, among whom were representatives of the management of Russian airlines, airports, aircraft manufacturers, travel industry partners, service providers and IT solutions, ? They noted the high level of presentations, interesting discussions, and fruitful exchange of views on the sidelines.

 

Was the situation in which the Russian air transport industry is currently located clearly outlined in the opening session of the forum? it has adequately withstood the powerful blow caused by the imposition of international sanctions, but now the industry needs to adjust to long-term challenges. Andrey Chikhanchin, First Deputy General Director for Commerce and Finance of PJSC Aeroflot, spoke about the main trends in the Russian aviation market in the new conditions. Konstantin Pyankov, Commercial Director of S7 Airlines, spoke about increasing the availability of air transportation through dynamic pricing.

 

Asiyat Khalvashi, Director of Aviation Commerce, Pulkovo Airport, spoke about the development of inbound tourism and measures to increase passenger traffic. Alexander Gushchin, Senior Director of the ACRA Corporate Ratings Group, and Alexander Fridlyand, Director of NC-19, FSUE GosNII GA, shared their opinions on the main trends and scenario forecasts for the development of air transportation and the aircraft fleet. Fedor Borisov, head of the analytical center of FSUE GosNII GA, stressed that for further development it is extremely important to maintain adaptability, which allowed the industry to survive the most difficult times, but excessive regulation and attempts to solve complex issues with simple but incorrect solutions can damage this.

 

An important topic was the training of flight and engineering personnel, training of young people, which will ensure the future development of the industry. This was discussed by Mikhail Korobovich, CEO of Aeroflot Technologies; Dmitry Kozorez, Vice-Rector for Academic Affairs of MAI; Ilya Perfiliev, Deputy General Director for Personnel and Organizational Development, PJSC Aeroflot; Eduard Sovetkin, Deputy General Director? Flight Director, Aeroflot PJSC; Natalia Shovgenya, President, MAI Flight Center.

 

The topic of aviation in the new reality was further developed at the strategic discussion, which was attended by Andrey Napolnov, Deputy Director of the Department of Business Analysis and Strategic Development of PJSC Aeroflot, Konstantin Pyankov, Commercial Director of S7 Airlines; Asiyat Khalvashi, Director of Aviation Commerce, Pulkovo Airport; Alexander Sizintsev, General Director of ORS. The discussion was moderated by Ilya Kabachnik, Deputy General Director for Aviation Insurance, AlfaStrakhovanie.

 

A significant part of the forum’s program was devoted to the topic of improving operational activities in air transport. Andrey Ordinov, Deputy General Director for Production, Rossiya Airlines, spoke about the operational support of a new model of high-intensity flights within the framework of the Shuttle program (Moscow? St. Petersburg). Dmitry Khartunyan, First Deputy General Director of UTG Vnukovo, spoke about how to build an effective model of ground handling management in conditions of uncertainty.

 

Andrey Priezentsev, Head of Marketing, Vnukovo International Airport, and Kirill Ermakov, General Director, Novokuznetsk International Airport, spoke about the development of retail at the airport and new services to increase the tourist flow. Alexey Anoshin, Regional Manager for Russia and Georgia, Red Wings, shared the view of the Russian air carrier on the organization of ground handling at airports in Russia and the CIS.

 

The conference concluded with a panel discussion on the development of the airport infrastructure in Russia. Maxim Movchan, Head of the Business Analysis Group, Moscow Domodedovo Airport; Asiyat Khalvashi, Director of Aviation Commerce, Pulkovo Airport; Kirill Ermakov, General Director, Novokuznetsk International Airport; Igor Konstantinov, Commercial Director, ORS, expressed their opinions.
