In February, the passenger turnover of Russian airlines increased by 13%.
In February of this year, the total passenger turnover of Russian airlines amounted to 18.8 billion passenger kilometers (pkm), which was 13% higher than in February 2024. This is reported by Interfax with reference to data from the Federal Air Transport Agency.
It is specified that passenger turnover on domestic lines increased by almost 7%, to about 11.3 billion pkm, on international lines — by 24%, to 7.6 billion pkm.
Airline passenger traffic increased by almost 10%, to 7.2 million people: 5.4 million (+6.7%) were transported within the Russian Federation, 1.8 million (+20.8%) on international flights.
