North Korea is one of the countries where there is only organized tourism. Independent entry and movement of foreigners in the country is prohibited, therefore, a guide is assigned to each traveler.
For the first time, Russian tourists will be able to get acquainted with various types of recreation and interaction with the DPRK, interesting routes, and its gastronomic features.
According to a representative of the Pyongyang Project, a company licensed by the Government of North Korea, North Korea can become a worthy analogue of high-quality beach and mountain holidays for Russians. Good hotels with a high level of service and friendly attitude to Russian-speaking tourists are already waiting for travelers. At the same time, at the moment the main task is to destroy stereotypes about North Korea, the desire to “show in a different way” not the closed country as the older generation knows it, but a new Republic open to tourists.
It is now possible to get to North Korea from Russia via Vladivostok, but direct flights are planned to open in the near future. Negotiations are also currently underway with leading medical institutions in the DPRK to provide tourists with high-quality medical insurance.
The International Exhibition of Tourism and Hospitality Industry MITT 2024 will be held on March 19-21 in Moscow. It will feature 790 participants from 29 countries and 58 regions. In addition to North Korea, Zaporozhye, Kherson region, Abu Dhabi (UAE) will also take part for the first time.
