A tourist from Russia was imprisoned in Istanbul (Turkey) because of a photo he took during a subway ride on his way to the airport.
Spouses from Russia planned to fly home after a vacation in Turkey and decided to get to the airport by metro. During the trip, the man decided to take a picture of the subway car, but a local resident accidentally got into the frame.
This was noticed by another local passenger, who was extremely outraged by the guest’s actions and began to actively attract the attention of everyone in the carriage. At the nearest metro station, the couple was dropped off the car and handed over to the police.
At the same time, the girl who accidentally got into the frame wrote a statement about sexual harassment and violation of the law on privacy. No apologies from the Russian helped, he ended up in a pre-trial detention center, and his wife was already contacted by representatives of the “victim” and said they were ready to take the application for $ 10,000.
