In the canyon of Sochi, a tourist was injured by jumping from a height

In the White Rocks Canyon near Sochi, a tourist jumped from a seven-meter height into a font and was injured. She couldn’t get ashore on her own.

A 25-year-old tourist from Moscow suffered a back injury. Her husband and instructor helped her out of the water.

The injured girl was evacuated from the canyon by rescuers of the Southern Regional detachment of the Ministry of Emergency Situations of Russia. They gave her first aid and, using climbing equipment, lifted her on a stretcher along a vertical rocky section to the trail and transported her to an ambulance.
