In Anapa, residents and tourists complain about the huge number of jellyfish in the Black Sea: there are so many of them that vacationers do not want to go into the water and move on their boots.

According to environmentalists, among the reasons for the invasion of aurelian jellyfish is the abundance of plankton they feed on and the high water temperature – this year the coast has warmed earlier than usual.

Previously, the same pattern could be observed off the coasts of Tuapse, Novorossiysk and Sochi. Swimming is unpleasant and dangerous — you can get burns. Aurelia, which are also called big-eared jellyfish, leave a small burn that gradually passes. The effect of their poison is weaker than a nettle burn.
