Aeroflot launches its own scheduled flights from Sheremetyevo Airport to Ulan-Ude. This was reported to the TRN portal by the Aeroflot press service.
The first flight is scheduled for December 28. The flights will be operated on Boeing 737-800 aircraft in a two-class cabin layout: 20 Business class seats and 138 Economy class seats.
New Aeroflot flights to the capital of the Republic of Buryatia will increase the transport accessibility of the region and contribute to the development of domestic tourism. For travelers, this is a great chance to get acquainted with the distinctive local culture and see the deepest lake in the world — Lake Baikal. The slopes of the Sobolinaya and Mamai mountains are waiting for outdoor enthusiasts. On flights to/from Ulan-Ude, there is an annual Aeroflot promotion for free transportation of sports equipment.
In November 2024, a new terminal at Baikal International Airport was opened, which is equipped with everything necessary for the convenience of air travelers. The building is equipped with teletraps for comfortable boarding and disembarking of passengers and an updated baggage claim area.
