A tourist tax will be introduced in Arkhangelsk

According to Interfax, Arkhangelsk has joined the regions of the Russian Federation where a tourist tax will be levied.

The tourist tax will appear in Arkhangelsk from January 1, 2025. Tourists who stay in hotels and hotels will have to pay 1% of the cost of accommodation per day. In this case, the payment amount cannot be less than 100 rubles.

It is expected that the introduction of the tax will allow at least 6 million rubles a year to be sent to the city treasury, which will be directed to the development of tourist infrastructure.
