According to Turizm Gazetesi, Turkish air traffic controllers will continue the so-called “slow” strike at Antalya airport from July 25 to August 5, they will again “work without initiative.”
This is stated in the statement of the HTK-SEN branch trade union: “By decision of the board of the trade union, as part of the implementation of our legal requirements, it was decided to work without initiative in the period from July 25 to August 5.”
Earlier, the strike at Antalya airport has already caused delays of many flights, including flights to Russia.
According to the protesters, they plan to extend the protest to other aviation companies in the country.
The participants of the action called Inisiyatif Almadan Çalışma (“Work without initiative”) decided to extend the strike after their demands for higher salaries and better working conditions were ignored by the Civil Aviation Administration and the Turkish Ministry of Transport and Infrastructure.
