According to the First Baikal portal, a 4* floating hotel will appear on Lake Baikal — it will be the largest cruise ship that has ever sailed on the lake.
Right now, a four-deck cruise ship for multi-day trips around Lake Baikal is being built in Irkutsk. He will be able to take on board 144 passengers in the cabin version and 200 in the pleasure version.
The construction of the floating hotel is underway at the shipbuilding site of the East Siberian River Shipping Company under the project “R-Fleet. Design”. It is planned to launch the vessel in September 2026. It will carry out five- and seven-day cruises on the lake, the cost of which, according to preliminary calculations, will amount to 130,000 rubles.
For one—day routes that will connect the two shores of Lake Baikal, catamarans “Sarma” and “Selenga” are being built – they will transport tourists from Irkutsk to Ust-Barguzin and Turku on the Buryat side.
