The authorities are going to reform the mortgage by July 1. What will change after this date?
— There is a high probability of a radical change or even cancellation of the most massive preferential mortgage — for new buildings at 8%, but the rest of the programs will most likely be extended after July 1, — says Alexander Tsyganov, professor at the Financial University under the Government of the Russian Federation. — The President directly instructed to extend the family mortgage program until 2030, and to pay special attention to families with children up to and including 6 years old. For them, the preferential loan rate will remain the same — 6%. Special conditions can also be created for residents of small towns. Other preferential programs — Far Eastern, Arctic, IT mortgages and mortgages for new regions are likely to remain, because they are largely social and targeted.
