In St. Petersburg, the urban environment quality index has risen by 11% in five years, Smolny reported.
The results of the implementation of the program “Economic and social development of the territories of St. Petersburg” and upcoming plans were discussed by the head of St. Petersburg Alexander Beglov and members of the city government.
According to Beglov, the program covers many areas of the city’s development. “Now all urban planning documentation is being comprehensively worked out. The zoning of territories must be taken into account. A comfortable investment climate has been created in the city. Our enterprises are not afraid to invest in their development. This confirms the record volume of investments last year – more than 1.2 trillion rubles,” he said.
According to the results of the ranking of leading cities in the urban environment quality index in 2023, St. Petersburg is in second place.
