The Leningrad region will receive 500 million rubles for the reconstruction of water treatment facilities

In 2024, 500 million rubles will be allocated from the reserve fund of the Cabinet of Ministers for the reconstruction of water treatment facilities in the city of Volkhov, Leningrad region.

The corresponding decree was signed by the Chairman of the Government of the Russian Federation Mikhail Mishustin.

Thanks to federal funding, work will begin on replacing outdated networks, equipping ultraviolet water irradiation stations, and modernizing water disinfection facilities. The main goal is to improve the quality of drinking water, which is supplied to the residents of Volkhov, as well as to the enterprises of the city.

The total cost of the project, which will be implemented on the terms of co-financing with the Leningrad region, is about 6.8 billion rubles. In 2025-2027, the funds necessary for its completion are planned to be allocated within the framework of the state program “Providing comfortable and affordable housing and communal services to citizens of the Russian Federation”.
