The Governor of the Leningrad Region, Alexander Drozdenko, agreed on a plan for the further development of the Gatchina center, including the reconstruction of the resettled wooden buildings.
“I have agreed on a plan for the arrangement of the Gatchina center and the fate of the settled “pieces of wood” along Chkalov, Krasnaya, Kirgetova streets: to complete the transfer of objects to the Leningrad Region by 17.08, upon completion of the historical and cultural expertise, promptly proceed and complete the design by the end of 2025, in 2026 to carry out reconstruction. The center of Gatchina needs to be put in order. Authorities, state-owned enterprises, and public organizations have a request for placement in the capital of the Leningrad region,” Alexander Drozdenko said in his telegram channel.
Gatchina gained the status of the administrative center of the Leningrad region in April 2023.
